Ingredients Highlight:
Silica: Recognised for its exceptional absorbency, the mineral silica participates in the regeneration of sebum and the hydration of the skin. Silica gives a matt and velvety feel to the skin whilst blurring wrinkles and imperfections.
Bamboo powder: It is a white substance extracted from the joints of bamboo. Thanks to its high silica content, it remineralises, hydrates and participates in the regeneration of your skin while reducing the shine of combination and oily skin.
Organic cocoa butter: Cocoa butter protects the skin from external elements. It helps to maintain hydration because it slows the loss of water by forming a barrier on the surface of the epidermis. It has been used for centuries in Africa as a preventive care to provide suppleness to the skin and also in curative care against dryness.

If you are looking for "chemical free ingredient" company Zao is a great option. I can not recommend it highly enough. Out of all the other companies I have used (many!) this is my favourite! The powder blusher has a very good coverage, and a good feel to it.

Not bought from this range before looking for sustainable cosmetics. Don’t usually use powder but this is very good – dense colour, lovely coral shade and fantastic value for money Would buy again as refills available.

I really love this blusher – the colour is great and it is strong so you do not need to use very much. I also bought the blush brush to go with it, which is perfect. I love the bamboo case it is in and really like that it is refillable(one of my main reasons for buying this product), although as you do not need to use much, I expect it to last for ages.?The only downside was the amount of plastic packaging the product came wrapped in, which seemed unnecessary and a shame, when one of my main reasons for choosing Zao was the lack of plastic. The product itself is fabulous though!?ZAO note: It’s on our agenda to swap to some kind of biodegradable plastic for our makeup brushes. The packaging peanuts are 100% biodegradable, made from corn starch as opposed to the traditional polystyrene chips many are used to seeing in packaging. These are totally different and dissolve in water

I wanted a refillable blusher to cut down on more plastic and this does the job beautifully – the bamboo case is lovely. Blusher is good too but I would like to see some lighter colours. Colour is very strong and has to be used extremely sparingly. Add a lighter shade and it would be 5 stars.

So wonderful to find a eco-friendly make up that is affordable. I will be sticking with this. It has taken me a week or so to find the best way to use this blush as it is a strong colour and it doesn’t spread across the cheek easily. However, once I had worked out to take excess off by tapping the brush onto the back of my hand first and build very slowly – plus once I had left it and checked it in a different mirror to get used to it – it works very well. It lasts well over the day. It’s just a learning curve to leave a blush that you have been faithful to and learn to work with a new one! But the affordable refills mean I am now hooked.

After trying to make my own zero waste blusher and failing I bought this Zao blusher. I was so pleasantly surprised by how good the quality is. It has a beautiful scent and the pigment is really good. On my first application I put far too much on so have had to adapt to put much less on my brush which suggests this could last for a really long time. The case is high quality too and makes the contents of my makeup bag look much more sophisticated!
